According to rahnam news agency, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani met today with Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in the presence of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In this meeting, the Prime Minister, while expressing regret for the brutal massacre in Gaza, noted that the government and people of Iraq and the internal political currents are in the first line of support for the oppressed people of the region.
Appreciating the good and strong positions of Iraq in supporting Gaza, the Supreme Leader stressed on increasing the political pressure of the Islamic world on America and the Zionist regime to prevent the killing of the people of Gaza. He also emphasized that Iraq can play a special role in this field and create a new line in the Arab world and the Islamic world.
Al-Sudani also criticized the silence of international organizations and human rights defenders regarding these crimes and emphasized that necessary arrangements have been made in negotiations with the president to send food and medical aid to the people of Gaza.
The Prime Minister also announced his serious will to expand relations with Iran and implement agreements.
