MG4, a compact electric car with a price reduced below 800 thousand crowns, officially entered the Czech market last week. Quite a lot has already been written about it, including comparing the base price to a diesel Octavia or Golf. In this context, the electric car may not hold up, but in direct comparison with other electric cars, it is quite a groundbreaking offer. As you will find out in the gallery, there are not many cheaper electric cars in the Czech Republic.

Opel Combo-e Life – 909 990 Kč
The prices of electric cars are gradually going down. Not quite at a dizzying pace, but with increasing competition they are falling and electric cars with a price of up to a million crowns are increasing. It wasn’t so long ago that there were really a handful of them, and today a person interested in a battery-powered car can even choose which body size he would like.
The ranking of the most affordable electric cars is opened by the Opel Combo-e Life. It’s been a year and a half since Stellantis completely left the world of internal combustion engines for the passenger versions of its vans. Although sales fell and many interested parties changed their minds about buying an electric Berlingo, Rifter or Combo, Stellantis persisted and did not return the combustion version to the offer. The price of the deliveries has gradually decreased by a little, the cheapest of them costs a special 909,990 crowns.
As will appear several more times in the review, the Combo-e Life uses a kind of standardized Stellantis technology for small electric cars. The electric motor has a power of 100 kilowatts, the battery has a usable capacity of 45 kWh and a maximum range of 280 kilometers. The battery can be charged at a maximum of 100 kilowatts, at which point it will go from 0 to 80 percent in 32 minutes.
The Edition equipment includes, among other things, manual air conditioning, a classic radio without a touch screen, emergency braking, an assistant for driving in a lane, and possibly also cruise control.
