The coming week will be accompanied by rain, which will be particularly heavy from Tuesday to Wednesday. Precipitation should decrease gradually. At the weekend, they may appear sporadically and the highest temperatures will exceed 20 degrees Celsius. The coldest day of the week will be Wednesday, when the maximum will be between 10 and 14 degrees. Temperatures will be slightly higher on Thursday, but ground frosts may still appear in the morning, metrologists warn.
According to the meteorologists of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute, it is expected to rain in most of the country on Monday, and the following days will also be rainy. “It will rain heavily, especially from Tuesday to Wednesday. By Thursday, mostly 15 to 45 millimeters will fall, and occasionally around 60 millimeters in the south and east,” meteorologists said.
According to them, the weather in the Czech Republic will be influenced by the frontal system associated with the Minerva pressure trough. It will bring heavy rain and strong thunderstorms to Italy and the Balkans on Monday and Tuesday, accompanied by gusts of wind, high lightning activity and hail. Subsequently, its influence will spread to the north, and will thus employ meteorologists from the central Mediterranean to Central Europe, added the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute.
The highest daily temperatures in the Czech Republic can still reach 18 to 20 degrees somewhere on Monday and Tuesday, then drop to an average of 12 degrees on Wednesday. After that, it will gradually warm up and it could already be 20 degrees on Saturday and 22 degrees on Sunday.
