In another important match, Ramsay’s team pulled for the longer end of the rope in another dramatic contest until the last minutes, defeating the home team Latvia with a score of 2:1. The Slovaks are defending their quarter-final from last year, in which, after a nice performance, they lost to the later world champions from Finland 2:4, while not maintaining a 2:0 lead.
