One person was killed and another seriously injured in a shooting at a Mercedes-Benz factory in southwestern Germany, local police said.
Also on the police twitter she stated, that the 53-year-old offender was arrested and that the employees are no longer in danger. Details of the incident were not immediately clear.
According to the newspaper Bild, the first information about the shooting began to arrive shortly before eight o’clock in the morning. An emergency unit, as well as rescuers and two helicopters, then arrived at the plant in the town of Sindelfingen near Stuttgart.
“One dead, one seriously injured. Perpetrator arrested,” the police said on Twitter before ten o’clock. She did not say who and why shot at the factory.

It also produces Mercedes-Benz S-class cars, the newspaper reports.
