Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský (Pirates) went to the regions to explain government policy to the people. Right at the first meeting in Broumov, he faced several sharp questions and insults. “You are being massaged by American propaganda,” for example one of the local seniors reproached him, who jumped into Lipavský’s speech several times.

About twenty people came to the local information center for Tuesday’s meeting with Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský in Broumov. “I would like to meet people like this in order to get to know their opinions,” he explained to Aktuálně.cz before the event.
Listeners were interested in Lipavsky’s view of Russian aggression in Ukraine, while some of them repeated the thesis of Russian propaganda. The moderator had to calm the audience down.
The minister also commented on the alliance with the United States. “I consider them to be the most important and strategic ally in terms of security for Europe and for the Czech Republic. Thanks to our membership in NATO, the Czech Republic enjoys the highest level of security in its history,” said Lipavský.
