The Vegas hockey players defeated Edmonton 5-1 in the third game of the second round of the NHL playoffs and took a 2-1 lead in the series. Jonathan Marchessault scored two goals for the winning team. Jack Eichel scored one goal and two assists.
The series moved to Edmonton after two duels in the southwest of the USA, and the Oilers took the lead at 02:45. The action of the third formation was ended by Warren Foegele, who scored his first goal in the current playoff, from the edge of the goal area.
The guests were able to react quickly. Not even two minutes had passed and Marchessault leveled Eichel after the pass. The two hockey players repeated their cooperation at the end of the first period and turned the score to 2:1 for Vegas.
A goal in the last minute of the first act broke the duel. The Golden Knights added three more hits in the second half to clinch their second win of the series. The game did not work out for Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. The most productive players of the playoffs so far did not score and ended the game with two negative points.
