In the opening round of the expansion group, the football players of Slavia Prague defeated Bohemians 1905 unequivocally 6:0 for the Fortuna:League title at home. Václav Jurečka scored four goals.
Bohemians equalized their biggest debacle in the history of a single top competition. They lost by the same ratio in the 1996/97 season in Drnovice and last year also in Pilsen.
According to the CSFOTBAL Twitter account, the last time Slavia beat Bohemians in a league match by a higher margin was 76 years ago, in October 1946.
Slavia entered the match without the injured captain Holeš, who was replaced by Kačarab as a stopper. The Vršovice duel did not offer a better chance for a long time.
In the 22nd minute, the ball bounced in the goal to Křapek, but the visiting stopper shot over from an angle. Slavia, who won the domestic cup on Wednesday after a 2-0 win at Sparta, took the lead after half an hour of play. Douděr’s cross fell in front of the goal to Jurečka, who was not saved by Kadlec, and the Slavist striker delivered the ball into the net.
The “Stitchers” increased their activity and almost added a second goal in the 35th minute. Goalkeeper Jedlička caught Kačaraba from close range and dealt with Jurečka’s shot.
Shortly after the change of sides, Matěj Jurásek, in a good position in the penalty area, only hit the defending Kadlec. In the next minute, however, the Slavists rejoiced after Jureček’s sharp shot on the back post. Five minutes later, the 28-year-old scored from distance to complete the second hat-trick of his league career.
A good start to the second half was crowned in the 57th minute by Douděr, who processed Ogbu’s cross, pushed Dostál in the fight and overturned Jedlička. He scored his fifth hit in the league season. In the 66th minute, Jurček’s goal was disallowed due to offside.
In the 82nd minute, Van Buren exchanged the ball with substitute Provod and added his team’s fifth goal. The Dutch forward scored the 14th league goal of the season and tied Chramost from Jablonec for second place in the table of the gunners of the competition. Brno’s Řezníček leads with 19 hits.
Two minutes later, another Tecl bench player passed to Jureček and he set up the final score. For the first time in his career, he scored four goals in one league match.
In the current year of the top competition, he improved to 12 hits. With 87 goals, Slavia has the best attack in the league, and with 25 goals conceded, it also has the strongest defense.
The “Red and Whites” did not hesitate in Eden even in the 16th game of the season of the top competition, of which they won for the 15th time there.
