The football players of Ostrava entered the group for retention in the secondary part of the Fortuna: League with a clear 4:0 win over Brno. Teplice improved, beating Pardubice 1:0. Last time Zlín drew 1:1 with Jablonec at home.
The match in Ostrava was a one-sided affair from the start. The home team played actively from the start and took the lead from the 10th minute when Cadu headed Jurošk’s cross from the right into the net.
Ostrava penetrated the Brno goal quite smoothly from the sides, in the 14th minute Klím fired a dangerous shot from a corner, but the shot ended up near the post.
Fullback Jurošek had his fingers in the second shot as well. He challenged Tijani with a precise pass from the right line in the 32nd minute, and Ostrava’s best scorer licked the ball with his head towards the post. The Nigerian forward scored his ninth goal in the league season and followed up on the hat trick from the last match in Olomouc.
With the increasing score, the miner also increased his dominance and self-confidence. In the 37th minute, he played a handsome combination: Kaloč overcame the Brno defense with a lob behind the defensive line, and the running Plavšič on the ground subdued Berkovci for the third time.
The visiting coach Hašek immediately reacted by withdrawing Alli from the field and made three more changes at the break in an attempt to wake up his team. But it was mainly the home side who had chances again. In the 53rd minute, Klíma shot from the edge of the penalty area, but his shot was blocked for a corner by the Brno defense.
Not even Almási, who was replacing Almási, had an accurate shot, as he headed over from 10 meters. On the other hand, in the 62nd minute, the defender Jurošek shone again when he guided the ball to the penalty area from the right side and then aimed his left-footed shot at the top corner of Berkovec’s goal. He scored for the first time in the league year.
Brno did not shoot at Ostrava’s goal for the entire match and did not win away in the league for the tenth time in a row.
Zlín takes only one point again
Zlín drew 1:1 with Jablonec, the mutual duel in the top competition ended in a draw for the sixth time in a row. “Shoemakers” have not beaten North Bohemia in the league for 20 matches.
In the 4th minute, after a pass from Fantiš, the home side’s Vukadinović had a promising finish, but his shot went high over the goal. As time went on, the visitors gained the upper hand and were also close to the leading goal. Chramost’s shot was saved by goalkeeper Dostál, who also pulled away from Ikaunieks’ attempt. Tych then helped the home team with another shot by Chramosta.
Zlín’s attempt to save Hanuš’s goal was hampered by inaccuracy in the final phase, so goalkeeper Dostál had to hold the home shares, who caught Ikaunieks’ chance after half an hour of play with the help of the crossbar. At the end of the half, Kozák could have opened the scoring on the opposite side, but after a precise pass from Slončík, Zlín’s top scorer only hit the legs of goalkeeper Hanuš, in whose arms Cedidl’s header ended up.
The second half was strongly affected by the waterlogged terrain on the border of regularity after a strong cloudburst. The guests coped better with the difficult conditions in the beginning. In the 52nd minute, Šulc received the ball from Považanac and hit the post from the edge of the penalty area. He scored in the second game in a row and 10th overall in the Premier League.
Zlín’s coach Vrbo then made substitutions. Shortly after taking the field, Dramé found Kovinič on a small area, whose fine shot hit the post of the Jablonec goal after an hour of play. In the 70th minute, Souček saved from the Zlín attackers at the last moment.
“Shoemakers” were pushing for three points, but they didn’t get a chance through the Jablonec defense. They scored their twelfth tie of the season and confirmed that they are the draw king of the competition.
Trubač made Teplice win
Teplice beat Pardubice at home 1:0. Midfielder Daniel Trubač, who started today with the captain’s armband, decided it in the 15th minute with the premiership goal in this year’s top competition.
The score changed right from the first more dangerous event of the match. Trubač found a bounced ball on the edge of the box and volleyed it elusively to the post.
Gning soon won the ball for the home team Fila, but the attacker of the Czech under-21 national team did not hit the ball cleanly in the chance he had. The home side had to stop two great opportunities from the opponent to maintain the halftime lead. Mucha took Janošek’s shot from close range for a corner in the 24th minute, after which Chlumecký sent a header just wide of the left post.
The beginning of the second half was fragmented due to substitutions and several treatments, but both teams created scoring chances. Trubač was able to get a second chance shortly after the break, but he was unable to direct Horův’s cross into the goal with his head. Janošek on the other side had an even better chance in the 57th minute, who sent the ball into the post with his outside instep.
The East Bohemians were more active in the rest of the duel, but they did not get a better chance. The team with the worst attack of the competition (29 goals) thus confirmed once again that it is troubled by problems in the final phase. Teplice, who, on the other hand, have the league’s worst defense with 63 goals conceded, resisted the pressure and recorded their fourth clean sheet of the season. The North Bohemians have scored three of them since coach Frťala took over in mid-March.
