Pardubice football players beat Slovácko 3:1 in the penultimate 29th round of the first league regular season after a turnover in the second half. Fifteen East Bohemians won the top competition for the second time in a row and jumped to six points from the last Zlín, but the “Shoes” have Wednesday’s home match against Prague’s Bohemians 1905 to look forward to. The team from Uherské Hradiště did not win in the fifth of the last six rounds and remained fifth.
The visitors took the lead at the Arnošt Košťál Stadium from the 34th minute after a goal by Petr Reinberk. However, after changing sides between the 55th and 73rd minutes, the home team struck three times.
First, Dominik Janošek equalized, then Reinberk scored an own goal, and substitute Bartosz Pikul set the final result. Pardubice did not lose to Slovácko at home in the league for the third time, and the second time they beat him there 3:1.
The home side created their first big chance in the 14th minute, but stopper Hranáč headed wide after Janošek’s corner. After that, nothing interesting happened for a long time. Slovácko was the first to assert itself. Goalkeeper Nita deflected Trávník’s long-range shot just in front of him, and the quick finishing Reinberk made no mistake with his header. He scored the second goal in the league season. At the end of the opening act, Holzer drew Nita, who pulled his shot over the crossbar.
The guests entered the second half actively and were able to bounce back to Pardubice with a difference of two goals, but Holzer finished poorly in the goal.
The home team equalized in the 55th minute. Ich’s cross from the right found Janošek and the home midfielder made no mistake. The league’s top scorer Pardubice scored the eighth goal of the season.
Less than two and a half minutes later, East Bohemia completed the turnaround. Janošek crossed into the box, captain Černý did not handle the ball, but it unfortunately bounced off Reinberk past goalkeeper Nguyen. Slovácko’s players complained about Černé playing with his hands, but referee Radin recognized the goal after communicating with the video referee.
At the turn of the 72nd and 73rd minutes, Pardubice came through again. After a nice combination with Černý, Pikul exchanged the ball and passed the running Nguyen. A few minutes on the pitch were enough for the Polish midfielder to score his first hit in the league season and second overall in the Czech top flight. The East Bohemians still have the worst attack in the league with 28 goals.
The visitors tried for a contact goal, but Nita gradually coped with the attempts of Havlík, who was replacing Vecheta, and also with a free kick by Reinberk in the set-up.
Pardubice did not lose at home in the league in the fifth of the last six duels and won there 20 of the total 28 points in the season.
Teplice drew 1:1 with Mlada Boleslav on their pitch. Matěj Hybš gave the home team the lead in the 16th minute from a penalty kick, and substitute David Šimek equalized in the 89th minute. After that, Teplice goalkeeper Tomáš Grigar was sent off, and since the North Bohemians could no longer substitute, Egyptian striker Muhammad Jásir had to catch the end of the game.
“Sklari” scored points against today’s opponent in a mutual duel after four defeats, moved to 13th place in the incomplete table and can no longer get into the middle superstructure group. The Central Bohemians are eighth, with a draw they lost the chance to advance to the group for the title.
Head coach Hoftych was absent from Mladá Boleslav’s bench due to four yellow cards, his role was taken over today by assistant Medýnský. Compared to Saturday’s triumph over Ostrava (1:0), the Central Bohemians made the only change in the starting line-up, Škoda was replaced by Mareček. Teplice started in the same starting eleven as in the previous 2:1 win in Olomouc.
