In particular, the return of Karlos “Terminator” Vémola or the title duel of Magard against Lopez is expected, but the Oktagon organization will also present other interesting acquisitions at the weekend tournament in Liberec with the number 41 in the name. For example, a British fighter who prepared Hollywood stars Tom Hardy and Henry Cavill for famous action roles.
Dan Vinni brings an interesting reputation from the islands to the north of Bohemia, where the Oktagon organization will visit for the first time in its history. His duel against domestic Daniel Škvor, who wants to make up for his loss to Jorick Montagnac, can be described as a battle of knockout lovers.
The experienced thirty-five-year-old Briton nicknamed “Demolition Man” has been fighting in cages since 2008, he is the champion of three different organizations and twenty-one of his twenty-two victories have already reached the limit.
His entire streak of matches lasted no more than 100 seconds.
“Vinni is the most skilled and biggest beast Skvor has ever faced,” the organizers said. The Briton is also a joker, his atypical “new level trash talk” made many a fan laugh before the match.
“My opponent may be bigger than me, stronger than me, and even tougher than me. But one thing I know for sure. I have better hair,” he captioned his match photo.
The British fighter is convinced that the fight will end before the limit. “It happens to me very often, now it won’t be any different,” he said, adding that he tries to present an entertaining and attractive duel under all circumstances.
“It’s very important to me because of the fans,” said the man who has often coached celebrities in the past, including two Hollywood stars.
He was preparing Tom Hardy, a popular actor known, for example, for his collaboration with the visionary director Christopher Nolan, for the role of the comic book superhero Venom.
Dan Vinni training with Tom Hardy:
During the preparation for the role, another prominent personality of the silver screen, Henry Cavill, representative of the movie Superman or the TV series The Witcher, stopped by his gym several times.
“Training with Tom was amazing, he is a very respectful person who really tried to improve in martial arts. Henry was less involved, he only came to a few lessons,” explained Vinni.
The Briton would like to return to coaching celebrities in the future. “I was very lucky to be able to work with such people, and with some famous athletes. I love training and in the future I would like to focus more on it,” added the British fighter, who temporarily moved to the Czech Republic for the sake of the Octagon. At the same time, his Czech wife facilitates his orientation in the new country.
