Consolidation of Iran’s third position in OPEC with daily production of 3.1 million barrels of oil + table – rahnam

According to rahnam news agency, the US Energy Information Administration has announced in its latest report that Iran produced 3.1 million barrels of crude oil per day during the tenth month of this year.

Iran’s oil production in October 2023 has increased by 50 thousand barrels compared to the previous month. In September of this year, Iran produced 3.5 million barrels of oil per day.

The monthly statistics of this institution affiliated with the US Department of Energy show that Iran’s oil production has gone through a continuous upward trend since the beginning of 2023. Iran’s oil production has increased by more than 500 thousand barrels per day since the beginning of this year.

By increasing oil production this year, Iran has been able to regain its lost position among OPEC producers step by step. While Iran fell to the fifth place in OPEC due to the successive decline of its oil production in the previous government, in October of this year, it was the third largest producer of OPEC.

In April of this year, Iran was able to surpass Kuwait in oil production and was ranked fourth in OPEC. In August, Iran’s oil production increased more than that of the UAE, and in the last three months, it has remained in the third place in OPEC.

Saudi Arabia with the production of 9 million barrels and Iraq with the production of 4 million and 320 thousand barrels per day have ranked first and second respectively in OPEC. The UAE produced 2.93 million barrels of oil in October this year, ranking fourth after Iran.

The total production of OPEC in October this year decreased by 70 thousand barrels compared to the previous month and reached 27 million and 770 thousand barrels per day.
