From “Mabna” and “Shana” to “Sheryan” and Shura Vahdat; What is the plan of fundamentalists for the 12th parliament elections? – rahnam

According to the political reporter of rahnam News Agency, on November 4th, a conference of 4,000 people was held in the shrine of Imam Khomeini (RA) with the speeches of Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Gholam Ali Haddadadal and Mohs Rezaei. The base conference with the presence of fundamentalist leaders and MPs was the first electoral action of the fundamentalists for the March elections.

In this conference, Ghalibaf spoke about the issue of intra-group competition among the fundamentalists by avoiding the conflict between the groups in seeking a share and emphasizing on designing a clear vision. I am not against competition and I consider competition to be one of the elements of participation, but today we have gathered for unity and empathy; There is nothing wrong with competing within the revolutionary front, but we should not have differences.

Some analysts have considered the holding of a conference with a different name from the Coalition Council of the Revolutionary Forces (Shana) as a more active activism of Qalibaf for the March elections. However, the presence of figures such as Haddadadal, the chairman of the coalition council, or Mohsen Rezaei and Seyed Mohammad Hosseini, shows that the speaker of the parliament will work in coordination with the nationwide coalition of the revolutionary forces.

The Revolutionary Forces Alliance Council (Shana) was formed in the elections of 1998 based on the experience of the Revolutionary Forces Front (Jumna) and due to the significant victory in March of the same year, it entered the 1400 elections with greater strength and introduced Ayatollah Raisi and a list for the council. The city of Tehran won the second victory under the leadership of Mehdi Chamran.

But three months before the elections, there are other organizations in the process of fundamentalism that are preparing to participate in the competition.

** The return of reformists centered on “Zakani”

20 days after the base conference, the Revolutionary Reformers’ Front gathered with the speeches of Alireza Zakani and Gholamali Haddadadal to hold the second election meeting of the fundamentalists, albeit in a more limited way.

Naming a part of the forces of the revolution under the title of reformist fundamentalists goes back to the 7th Parliament, where we witnessed the formation of a faction under this title; The body of this flow is formed by fundamentalist parties that were formed in the seventies; The group of travelers of the Islamic revolution, the group of martyrs of the Islamic revolution – which consisted of the right-wing spectrum or the jurisprudence of the Mujahideen organization of the Islamic revolution – and the group of veterans of the Islamic revolution, in which a number of veterans of the revolution and holy defense were present.

These nascent parties of the 70s held Ahmed Tawakli’s headquarters in the presidential elections of 1980, and in the elections of the 7th parliament in 1982, they were able to form the body of the fundamentalist list called “settlers” and enter the parliament; Figures such as Ahmad Tawakli, Parviz Sarwari, Hossein Fadaei, Alireza Zakani, who became a movement separate from other fundamentalists with the formation of the faction of revolutionary revolutionaries from the same period of the parliament; Although they united with the fundamentalist coalition in almost all election cycles, it remains to be seen what their plan will be for the 12th parliament and what weight they will have in the final list.

** Revival of Sheikhukhity with “Unity Council”

The formation of the Unity Council dates back to the presidential elections of 1400, when a part of the parties belonging to the traditional right-wing movement tried to form a new mechanism within the coalition council. The reason for the formation of this council can perhaps be seen as the fading away of the traditional right-wing spectrum from the fundamentalists’ electoral planning process; The community of militant clergy, the front of the followers of the line of the Imam and the leader, the Mutalfa Islamic Party were among the parties that in the past the sheikhdom of the fundamentalists was with them, but with the death of the late Ayatollah Mahdavi Keni and Habibullah Asgar Oladi, who gave weight to this movement, harmony gradually began. Among the forces of the revolution, he leaned towards younger figures such as Haddad Adel and Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, as in the 1998 elections of the coalition council, he was able to win the elections in Tehran and also in the cities with a list of 30 members consisting of the majority of the revolutionary movement and the list of Qalibaf.

After the elections of the 11th Parliament, in response to the authority of the Coalition Council, the old fundamentalist parties launched the Unity Council; At the time of the formation of this council, there were rumors that it was formed to support a specific candidate (Ali Larijani) in the 1400 elections, but in the end, this council along with other groups supported Ayatollah Raisi, but in the Tehran city council elections, a separate list with The presence of people such as Abdul Azim Nashi, Morteza Talai, Masoud Zaribafan and Hassan Bayadi was sent to the election campaign, at the top of which was the signature of Ayatollah Mohadi Kermani, the head of the clerical community, who was in charge of the unity council.

The list of the Unity Council for the city council elections

Explaining this incident, Manouchehr Mutaki said: “According to the last conversation I had with Haddad Adel, a single list will not be published by the Unity Council and the Coalition Council for the council elections; We sought to form a joint list with the coalition council, but this did not happen. “Unfortunately, right now we are welcoming the elections with two lists.”

This list was not successful in the city council elections, but it became a cornerstone that we may see a separate list from their position in the Islamic Council elections. One of the prominent figures of this trend who have registered for the parliamentary elections so far is Mohammad Reza Bahner, Secretary General of the Islamic Society of Engineers.

** Sozerpash’s artery to enter the elections

On March 11, 1401 last year, the first General Assembly of the Strategic Network of Friends of the Islamic Revolution (Sharyan) was held in Tehran, and the first Central Council and Secretary General of this fledgling organization were elected; The central council of this organization is made up of young and little-known figures, who are mostly close to the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mehrdad Bazarpash.

Earlier, in 1996, Bazarpash had gathered a group of principled youths around him by launching Jamaran (a popular revolutionary movement of informed and new thinking). Although Jamaran did not have a special election campaign, this time it seems that Bazarpash wants to enter the field of elections in a coherent manner, and for this reason, he has launched Shreyan.

Secretary General of Shreyan, Abolqasem Jarareh, was a member of the Ninth Parliament and is the parliamentary deputy of the Audit Bureau during the Bazarpash period, and among other prominent members of its Central Council, we can mention Seyed Mehdi Hashemi, Acting Minister of the Interior during the Ahmadinejad period, and Samia Rafiei, a member of the Ninth Parliament, the representative of the people of Tehran in the parliament. did

Meisham Nadi, General Director of Public Relations of the Accounts Court during the presidency of Bazarpash, Shahram Eshraq, Technical Deputy and Audit of Economic and Infrastructure Affairs of the Accounts Court, Fatemeh Sadat Hamidian, Head of the Center for Development and Strategic Policies of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, and Ruhollah Hosseinzadeh, CEO of Irangerdi Development Company and World tourism is one of the faces close to the sower in the artery; Also, some figures close to the stability front are also present in this organization.

This fledgling organization was able to present itself well in the country’s media space, but first of all, there is no known political figure in it, and the secretary general of this movement was only a member of parliament for one term, and secondly, there are marginalized figures such as Hamid Rasaei and Masoumeh Mansouri in the Central Council. It has caused it to be criticized.

** Does “sustainability” separate the list?

After the meeting of the base and reformers, the stability front held its general assembly on November 25th in Tehran’s Adina Hall with the presence of only the members of this front and without inviting the well-known figures of the revolution; The stability was formed from the 9th parliament elections in competition with the nationwide coalition of fundamentalists and tried to have its own candidate or candidates in different elections. The centrality of this front was formed by the verses of Misbah Yazdi and Khushgoqt with the presence of a number of fundamentalists close to Ahmadinejad who had separated from him, such as Sadegh Tahal, Morteza Agha Tehrani, who were replaced by the death of two members of the jurisprudence council, Ayat Kazem Siddiqui and Mahmoud Rajabi.

This front nominated Saeed Jalili in the elections of the 11th Presidential Assembly and in the 1998 elections of the 11th Parliament, it gave a separate list for Tehran, and a few days before the elections, they introduced a single list with the coalition council! In the recent statement of the Stability Front for the parliamentary elections, it is stated that they have been for several months “Action to design and formulate a mechanism to introduce correct and efficient candidates to the people” Have; At the end of this statement, it is stated: “Political groups and activists are invited, considering the beginning of the examination of the records of the candidates for the 12th Parliament elections, in relation to the introduction of good people among the election candidates on the official website of the Stability Front, to support this front in introducing the best options. It is possible that the results of their grades are higher than all others, they will help.”

From the formation of the General Assembly of the Stability Front and the recent statement, it seems that they are currently working separately from the coalition council mechanism, but we have to see in the weeks before the elections, will the white smoke rise from the flow of fundamentalism?
