An important step of the government to speed up the resolution of the electricity imbalance/ 10,000 megawatts self-supply power plant will be built – rahnam

According to the economic reporter of rahnam news agency, the regulations of article 4 of the law on removing obstacles from the electricity industry, after being approved in the third meeting of the Council of Ministers by the first vice president, were notified to the 3 ministries of oil, power and security for implementation.

According to Article 4 of the Law on Removing Obstacles from the Electricity Industry, energy-consuming industries, in coordination with the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade and the Ministry of Energy, are obliged to install at least 9000 MW of thermal power plants with an efficiency of at least 55% and 1000 MW of renewable and clean power plants by the end of 2014. The internal sources of the said industries should be built.

In case of non-construction, the supply of electricity to these industries in the conditions of electricity shortage will be prioritized in the electricity consumption management plans of the Ministry of Energy.

Also, the Ministry of Energy is obliged to provide electricity to these industries, support and transfer their surplus electricity. Surplus electricity from the above power plants can be sold in Bahabazar Energy or as a bilateral contract. The Ministry of Oil is obliged to provide the fuel required by the mentioned power plants in coordination with the Ministry of Energy.

* 5 thousand megawatts of self-supply power plant is under construction

According to rahnam, the construction of 5,000 megawatts of power plants by industries is in various stages of construction, and 3 power plant units have been built in Semnan and Isfahan provinces under this law.

The construction of self-sufficient power plants was one of the strategies that was keyed in Mehr 1400 with the presence of the then Minister of Peace and Energy in the form of a memorandum of understanding, and this year in the form of the law to remove obstacles from the electricity industry, it became a task for government agencies and the private sector.

Experts believe that the implementation of this plan can play a special role in improving the electricity imbalance in the short term.
