This volume of water could be used to meet the drinking, agricultural and livelihood needs of the people of Nimroz, Afghanistan and Sistan, Iran.

We are following this issue decisively.

In this meeting, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan, acknowledged that water should not be directed to the Godzare salt marsh, and said: We have had many discussions with Iran regarding the issue of water, and the President of the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan is also very sorry about the issue of water wastage towards Godzare. He realized that the water was wasted and believed that the water should have gone to Iran.
